General Summary
To perform activities in support of voice, data and video activations for customers generated via DBS Business Unit.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
• Take direct calls from on-site installation technicians
• Provision video services via Direct TV using online vendor portal and call center.
• Provision video services via Dish Network using vendor call center
• Verify with customer that all services ordered where provided in satisfactory manner prior to installation technician leaving premise.
• Provision DIDs for customers via Level 3 and or Dash Network Services online portal or via manual order submission
• Manage the E911 database
• Provision all voicemail platforms as needed.
• Manage the Local 911 database
• Manage the local CNAM database
• Manage the local National Directory Listing database
• Provision the OLTs for AFC site turnips
• Provision wireless NID if applicable.
• Enter all NID/ONT details into Enlighten system
• Meet published SLAs and departmental goals.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Communication/ Manual Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures used in a Network Operations Center.
Knowledge of PC based systems, familiarity with Windows operating platforms. Experience with the MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with OSS or other task management systems.
High degree of self-motivation and independent decision making and be a self-starter.
Good organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, work under stress and be able to multitask.
Must be able to perform with high degree of accuracy.
Hours of Work:
Shifts as assigned by the Shift Supervisor in order to accommodate 24/7 schedule.
Education & Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College, technical school or military training. Must be skilled in the use of PC, LAN/WAN, and general office software such as email, Internet mail, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project. Three to five years experience with provisioning of Voice, Data or video Equipment in CLEC, ILEC or Cable Carrier environment Experience with VOIP a plus.
