GENERAL SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Internal Programs Manager is to manage all internal programs in development by other Connexion departments for delivery to the Operations team (including but not limited to: IT, Engineering, Construction, Finance, Accounting, etc.) In addition to the Internal Programs Managers main responsibility will also be responsible for limited detailed project management as appropriate for “mission critical” applications.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Matrix management with Operational priorities for key deliverables (Action Register tracking)
• Development of strategic planning operation team goals, which build on existing capabilities
• Initiation of new programs as new technologies are introduced or new deployment opportunities are needed.
• Assisting with process owners and individual project managers within the groups in meeting both projects and company goals
• Serving as a “traffic cop” for Operations personnel to gather project needs & requirements (including dollar value impact estimation)
• Working with Operations executive to set project priorities
• Track progress to implementation and accountability with other Connexion departments for progress, priority adherence and status on all projects
• Implement best practices for the development and enforcement of change management procedure and protocols
• Work within approved budgets
• Review and analyze all activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives.
• Enforce Acceptance Testing by Requestor and implementing department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• The qualified individual will have expertise in managing multiple complex programs, a technical background to enable effective communication, strong relationship skills to engender effective partnering with other departments on program direction and needs, and excellent communication skills to interface with various facets of the organization
• Able to work well and communicate with people on all levels, in a variety of situations, calling for cooperation and teamwork
• Detail-oriented and highly skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and handling objectives with accuracy and precision.
• Extensive experience in scheduling, verification, and completing project reports and action registers.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Access) and Microsoft Project
• Experience with Enlighten, Crystal Reports, Bug Tracking software a plus
• Software development and web design experience
• Service Provider industry experience a plus (voice, data, video, security, etc. – any or all)
• Familiar with computerized order entry and equipment tracking systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Able to use/operate computer, keyboard & mouse
• Able to lift & carry 40 pounds of equipment (ex: laptop computer, projection equipment, etc.)
